    GroundMed operates a fleet of 30 patient transport vehices strategically located across NSW. Our team can assist you across metropolitain and regional areas within NSW.

  • How does a GroundMed transfer work?

    Once your booking is confirmed, our team coordinates every aspect of your transfer. Qualified Patient Transport Officers will collect you from your nominated pick-up location and ensure you travel safely and comfortably to your destination with the appropriate level of care throughout the journey.

  • Do I have to book a flight or can I use only ground transport?

    No, you do not need to book and AirMed flight to use our ground transport services.


    Depending on your medical needs, location and destination, if a flight isn't required, our GroundMed team can provide safe, professional road patient transport.

  • Are you available on weekends?

    Yes. GroundMed operates 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays, ensuring patients have access to safe and reliable transport whenever it's needed.

  • Can family members, carers or a friend travel with a patient?

    Yes. Where appropriate, a family member, carer or friend may be able to travel with the patient. Please let us know your requirements when booking so we can confirm arrangements.

  • Are patient transfers expensive?

    Patient transfers are not expensive when you take into consideration the level of care provided and professional support moving from bed to bed.
