About Us...
CARING FOR PEOPLE SINCE 1996...
AirMed and GroundMed are recognised as one of Australia’s leading aeromedical and patient transport providers, delivering integrated air and ground services across the country. From our origins, the organisation has evolved into a highly capable healthcare logistics provider built on safety, reliability and a strong culture of care.
Our early operations focused on connecting regional communities across regional NSW. Over time, the growing need for reliable access to healthcare has driven a transition into specialised patient transport. This led to the establishment of AirMed and GroundMed as dedicated aeromedical and ground transport services.
With origins dating back to 1996, AirMed introduced a coordinated bed-to-bed patient transport model, integrating air and ground transport into a seamless service. GroundMed complements this approach, ensuring continuity of care from patient collection through to final destination.
Today, AirMed and GroundMed operates one of Australia’s largest integrated aeromedical and patient transport networks, supported by a fleet of aircraft, ground vehicles and operational bases. AirMed is a major partner to NSW Health, playing a key role in the non-emergency patient transport sector and supporting efficient, patient-centred care across the state.
At the heart of the organisation is a skilled and dedicated team of pilots, nurses, transport officers and operational staff, committed to delivering safe, professional and compassionate care.
AirMed and GroundMed continue to connect people with the care they need - wherever they are.
