MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Matthew Kline

Joint CEO with Mark Wardrop, and one of the founding investors and directors in Aviation Logistics, the parent company of AirMed and GroundMed; Matthew takes an active hands on role to strategically expand the business into innovative new areas.

With more than 25 years experience developing and implementing successful business management solutions, Matthew’s business experience began in the Events and Audio Visual Projects industry; growing his organisation to eight managers and over forty staff to provide production to some of Sydney’s key corporate events and fitting out Sydney’s landmark venues.

Matthew is also involved with Chartair, a Northern Territory base aviation business with over 40 aircraft and many long-term government contracts. Chartair has been in operation since 1974 and is one of the largest General Aviation Businesses in Australia.

Mark Wardrop

Joint CEO with Matthew Kline, Mark is involved in overseeing business strategies, global marketing, operations, growth and customer service from the Head Office at Bankstown Airport in NSW.

Mark has more than 25 years of aeronautical business experience, starting out initially in the tourism sector before moving into aviation. He was a founding investor in AirMed Australia in 2012 and currently holds a board position. In 2015 Mark was one of the investors to purchase Chartair in the Northern Territory and also holds a board position in this company. Chartair has been operating in the Northern Territory since 1974 and holds a number of long term State and Federal Government contracts.

Mark holds a Commercial Pilot License and has a keen interest in aviation, he also flies as an Angel Flight Australia volunteer pilot.

MEET OUR ADVISORY BOARD

Geoffrey Anthony Ramin

Geoff has over 30 years of extensive clinical knowledge and experience in specialist emergency medicine, intensive care and aeromedical retrieval. This includes both the coordination and the conduct of aeromedical evacuation services. He has previously held roles as the Medical Director of Aeromedical and Critical Care Services for RFDS Qld and Medical Director of CareFlight Qld.

Geoff is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Allianz Global Assistance, Medical Director for MSS Strategic Medical & Rescue and still works as an Intensive Care Consultant at The Tweed Hospital.

Geoff was awarded an Australia Day medallion for his services to prehospital care in 1999.

David Rampa

David is a senior IT and Telecommunications Executive with Capital Markets Experience. David is a Director at Hall Capital – Independent boutique corporate advisory firm offering capital strategy and transaction advisory services.

David is a Non-Executive Director of M2 Group Ltd – ASX 200 full service telecoms enterprise. Chair of Nomination and Remuneration Committee. He is also a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed Inabox Group Ltd.

David has a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and Diploma in Export Management, Associate Diploma in Business (Accounting) David is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

David has a passion for aviation.

MEET OUR SPECIALISTS

Andrew FryHead of Air Operations

All whom have logged thousands of flight hours. Our operation places the highest priority on the safe, comfortable, and timely transport of patients, and our pilots are highly experienced and well qualified.

Our Chief Pilot Andrew, oversees flight operations and manages our team of skilled pilots; he has a lifelong passion for aviation and around 25 years of flying experience. Andrew is a member of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots, and has been awarded a PhD in Computer Science.

Dr John AffleckMedical Consultant

All of AirMed and GroundMed’s medical procedures are overseen by its medical consultant Dr. John Affleck, who has considerable experience in aviation medicine and is highly respected in this field.

Dr. Affleck conducts AirMed and GroundMed’s annual in-house training in aviation medicine, triage for aero-medical flight, in-flight management and currency training for flight nurses.

MEET OUR FLIGHT NURSES

Sandy SwantonChief Nurse

Sandy is a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with over 30 years experience. She has held the position of Chief Flight Nurse at AirMed for the past 7 years and has been flying with us for over 10 years. Sandy has gained extensive experience in Aviation Nursing, Labour Ward, maternity and women’s health, Special Care Nursery, radiology and oncology nursing and general medical and surgical nursing.
